Too busy to blog...

So last week we went to AZ and spent some time with friends! We had an excellent time relaxing and talking and met their little girl for the first time. Vacations are always too short and good friends always live too far away :( Here's some photos of our vacation.

Glenn is now 4 1/2 months old and 18lbs 12 oz and 28" Wow! So different from Mere! Next week I need to get a photo of Mere in her new boots and Glenn in his cute outfit! I was too tired today as we spent Friday and Saturday in San Diego-road trips with kids are just not relaxing. . . but it was great to attend the temple and I'm so happy we're living up to our goal of attending every month!

ENGAGEMENT!

My younger brother Thomas is officially engaged!!! He has dated Lisa for about one year and we are so excited for both of them! We were able to meet her this summer and are so happy to welcome a woman with so many wonderful qualities into our family: )

Friday we went to the temple in San Diego and Saki and I were both able to do a session, it was so wonderful, even going once a month seems not often enough :)

On Wednesday this week we all went to the church trunk or treat-being on the activities committee we all helped decorate this Tues. We had dinner pumkin and costume contests and then Mere helped Saki pass out treats from our car before she went trunk or treating with him, I think her favorite part was the glowstick someone gave her. Mere was Mulan and Glenn was the lucky cricket. I always loved the costume part of Halloween, ie the cute little kid ones-not into scary or gory or trashy...it's so fun to see little princesses and action heros :)

On our way home from San Diego Friday we stopped at the "pumpkin station" at the mall. They had pumpkins and little rides and daddy won Mere some stuffed fish--after not succeeding on the first try the worker gave us two fish, cause he had other people to help! So nice! Mere was trying to take other people's fish from them :) Mere went in the inflatable jumper, and I was impressed she crawled through it all without crying despite other kids knocking her over. She also rode the train with me, but seemed more interested in her fish than the train ride, though she did like watching the train from outside the fence. It was pretty fun, but I think I prefer the traditional pumpkin patch to all the rides and flashy stuff.

On Saturday some friends of ours invited us to their place to hand out candy and have dinner, as our kids are so little and it's not the safest thing to trick or treat... We all had fun, Mere was glued to the winnie the pooh movie they had on. Then she joined the others sitting in the driveway handing out candy, people out here are enjoying the cooler weather, so lots congregate on their porches to hand out candy. There's not so many trick or treaters here, more just lots of events with hay bales and games for kiddies.
