10 months
Glenn is now ten months old! He has 6 teeth with 8 coming in and at his Dr visit we found he is 21 lbs and 14 oz and 23 inches tall, if I remember right. He has become a little more clingy over the last month or two, tending to cry if someone is holding him besides me or Saki and wanting to be held more often than before. He is very active and enjoys pulling up on everything and can now climb up onto Mere's toddler bed. He loves the cat and he and Mere interact a lot more now. Mere talks nicely to him, and played peek-a-boo in the car with him yesterday and today, though she does still yell at him to be quiet, sometimes she will say "Glenn calm down." She is good at sharing toys and food, and after a short phase of "that's mine" really shares everything with him or us. She seems to have matured a lot in the past couple of weeks. PACKING

Sourdough turtle we brought my family (Thomas's wedding) from "Boudin" in San Francisco
We are packing up to go to the San Francisco bay, in a couple weeks! As soon as we can finish packing and cleaning...I've actually got a lot packed, it's more just going through things as I pack, with 2 kids clamoring :) Glenn is really growing up, he'll be 10 months end of this week! He seems to understand some of what we say now and is pretty adapt at feeding himself. He likes to drop food or spoons though and look down as if he doesn't get what he just did or how it happens, Mere would just (and still does if you don't watch her) throw food all over, especially off her plate. She is soaking up things like a sponge and knows her colors most of the time and can count to 14 in order. She used to be soley attached to a white bear from nau (Saki's mom) but now attaches to various things, it was a play food doughnut for about a week and a half (thanks Robert), and then about a month of a hideous purple and brown plastic dragon from a happy meal, and today it was a miniature pink tennis racket (from my little ponies mom). It's funny, she often carries them everywhere and sometimes one in one hand and the bear in the other, though we don't take these items out of the house, which luckily she's normally ok with. It's just funny her odd attachment, I hope she's feeling secure at home :) Her favorite book is from the library-Miss Spider's Tea Party. She also enjoys a cat book from my mom (the one with pretty paintings of cats) and the Butter Bear and Cocoa bear book my brother Robert and I had growing up. She is also recognizing that we need to "read scriptures" every evening and really pays a lot of attention to the stories now, really enjoying it. We watched Finding Faith in Christ for Easter and now she often asks to watch the Jesus movie. Dad-what are those ones that are mostly speaking in Hebrew that portray Christ's life, live? Mere is a loving little girl, though she does like test me by sitting on Glenn and the cat and pushing Glenn over when he's standing-but not too often. She really is quite tolerant of her, and I can see her natural womanly nurturing skills showing through. What wonderful kids we have :) I love them so much! I am sooo happy to have Saki back here too, after a week in the bay job hunting etc. Lots of love to everyone.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAKI
Saki's birthday is this coming Tuesday, and on the same note we celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary a month ago and I never posted on it...to much to do. Saki is the perfect match for me and I am so glad we can grow older together! Since Saki is a social guy my gift to him was a surprise birthday party with friends from church. While I don't normally like to do such things on Sundays, Saturday was the pinewood derby and Sunday most people were in town. . . We had some friends from church over for cake and ice cream and just talked and talked to all the sweet members we love so much and will miss so much. It was very enjoyable, and they all will miss Saki so much!
Yesterday Saki raced his shark shaped pinewood derby car in the "adult" races after the cub scouts had theirs. It was a fun event, especially since Saki had never made a car before, nice people in the ward let him borrow paint and their tools to carve the car. Mere liked playing with the car-as she still loves fish, and stepped in the paint as Saki was painting, which I still need to clean up :D

Dear friends and family,
Hope everyone had a great Easter! There's an Easter Pageant (it's a
play depicting Jesus' life, death, and resurrection) at the Mesa
Arizona Temple that we were able to go to a few times, with people
we're teaching. It's really cool. The LDS General Conference was this
past weekend as well, where the living prophet, twelve apostles, and
other church leaders speak - it was awesome!
Today was transfers day, and I stayed in the same area (East Mesa) but
my companion (Elder Oakes) was transferred. My new companion is Elder
McIlrath, from Layton, UT. He is awesome! He just arrived from the
Missionary Training Center yesterday. He's excited to get out and
start working!

Yes I know we need some photos. . .
Our camera's still down, so I need to gather more photos from family to put up here:) So our exciting news is that we're moving to the San Fran bay area before June 1st! We have prayed about it and feel that it is the right thing to do at this time. We had prayed about moving for a long time after Saki lost his job last March, but we hadn't felt like the timing was right until now. We will miss the people of Imperial Valley, especially our friends at church who have been so friendly and kind to us over the last 2 years!
We don't know exactly what city we will be living in yet, as we are still job hunting like crazy and apartment hunting. Filling out applications online has been our past time of late, and after more than a year of it, it's getting very old, but I know something will work out and am grateful we have Saki's wonderful parents willing to help us out if needs be. I am so grateful that the Lord hears and answers our prayers, and Saki and I have been learning that things are meant to happen on the Lord's timetable and not our own.
This is for a "beautiful blogger tag" don't know if this is what you need, but here's 7 things about me:
1. I love going barefoot.
2. I always wished I could be deserted on a tropical island by myself, though now I would want to be there with Saki and after about a week I would miss my kids too :D, and after a couple months I would miss other people too, so I'm a much more social person than I used to be. . .
3. I love trees and ferns and my favorite color is green-my second favorite is black.
4. One of my favorite movies is Newsies.
5. I have a yellow belt in Chun Kuk Do, and almost had a purple belt. So I didn't get far, but I love martial arts!
6. I wish I had more time to read, as I used to be an avid reader-how do those of you with young children do it???
7. Over the past 10 years I have been growing in my appreciation of the Old Testament as I read it off and on with other books of scripture. It had always seemed harsh to me, but as I look at it with new perspectives I can better see and understand God's love for all of His children.
