Odds and Ends

Lately I've been posting photos others have taken, as I'm awful about remembering to get my own camera out and I'm not a fan of posing for or having people pose for photos. Today I got a chance to upload my camera from the three weeks and this is what we have:

Part of my Hoffman family (you're included in that Meiling) who came all the way out to Calipat to visit us during their annual Southern California family reunion :) It's so great to see these girls I used to babysit and I wish they could've stayed longer!!!

We celebrated their visit with Mexican food, peanut butter cake, and ice cream...

Baby Blessing

This week we went to Indio-a little north and did some job hunting and played a bit. Mere got poked in they eye by a kid at the mall, but it's getting better. It was an interesting long day to try and be out and about and shopping with 2 young kids, but it went lots better than I thought it would! Can't browse in the stores much though. . .

Last week we had Robert Glenn's baby blessing. We met up with my parents and Saki's parents in San Diego. We were able to do the blessing in one of my old roommate's (Brooke) wards! So it was fun to see her and also be with family!

PS Mere is sleeping a bit better, thanks for the tips. She's now on a twin mattress since she can climb out of her crib, but Robert will need the crib soon anyway. What seemed to work best is laying her down and leaving the door open with a gate, though she can climb that too. She gets way to worked up to cry it out-she can go for more than an hour and she won't sleep too easily if you're in the room cause she wants to play... so she seems to be doing well and I hope she's back to her good sleep habits for good awhile :)

Check-ups

Mere had her year and a half check up, though she's now 1 year and 7 months. She weighs 25 lbs and is 31 inches tall. Robert Glenn had a 3 week check up the same day and is 11 lbs and 13 oz. So he may just catch up to her. . . maybe people will think they're twins like me and my brother :) We are doing very well, though Mere is having a hard time going to sleep lately. She cries hysterically and I don't know what to do...feel free to give advice :) I know she's fine cause the minute you look in at her she stops immediately and starts to talk.

Family Visits :)

My parents have left and now my brother Thomas and his girlfriend Lisa are visiting for a little while. . .
