Potty training is going great, Glenn is teething, so fussier than his usual self, and Mere is always a ball of energy, but we've been doing a lot more walking, so that's tiring her out some before she sleeps. Mere can count to 10 and know some numbers after, so it's fun to hear her count. She is into ice cream and cupcakes and asked to read the "cupcake book" from the library which has cupcakes on a couple pages and she thinks it's great. She is also learning colors, and sometimes gets them right :) We had the 2 year old check up and 6 month old check up Glenn is 20lbs 11 oz ___ tall, Mere is ____ and 33 1/2 inches tall. (I have to double check that).
I've been very busy this year, but had some time to contemplate things. Saki is doing wonderful work with the scouts and young men at church and I'm really enjoying doing sharing time in primary with the young children. I am so grateful for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and the guidance the gospel brings to my life. We live in a world of disintegrating moral values and people floundering to find a purpose in life and I am so grateful for the knowledge of a Heavenly Father who loves all of His children and that He sent His Son to atone for us. I am enjoying reading the church magazines the Friend to Mere and the Ensign. I am so grateful for the humanitarian aid the church sends to other countries and the way it blesses each member in the world wherever they live. I am so grateful for my husband and the priesthood he worthily holds and parents who raised me up to the Lord and brothers who have set wonderful examples for me. 2 Years & 6 month milestones : )
Before you see all our lovely photos I want to apologize for all the sideways ones. The photo program on this computer freezes if I try to flip photos, or crop them for that matter, so the photos could look nicer... I need to remember that when I take pictures... Our newer computer got stolen at the airport this December :(
And I'm sorry to everyone who's emailed and facebooked me, with two kids and Saki having homework my computer time is verrrry minimal. It's a stretch to make a blog post and look at some blogs and emails, answering and making comments is lacking, I am enjoying people's blogs and am sorry I don't always have time to comment!
These sideways ones are a little funny, but I wanted to see his whole big body and he doesn't sit up very straight yet. Glenn's hair is getting thicker and some places it's blonde. He has a big head like his dad, which I think is handsome even though Saki doesn't, my family all has small heads, I have the hardest time finding sunglasses and hats...
Both of my kids like to pull their ears.
The cat wanted to pose too. . .
Mere in one of my old dresses from Mexico? Her and I fit in well down here, people even think Saki is Hispanic ;)
As you see in the photo on the right we had to entice Mere with snacks to sit still. The reindeer holding up the sheet fell on Glenn (luckily just nicked his cheek, and when we got him calmed down he fast asleep for their combined photos :0

Talking to Glenn-she likes to go see him when he wakes up! A "serious" conversation with Uncle Thomas.
They talk to each other in the car too which is fun. She is very sweet to him. She has a large vocabulary but when talking on the phone to others she still babbles. She is still very strong willed and her tantrums are louder and more wild than they used to be. She is a wonderful big sister and hopefully all her energy will eventually be channeled positively over the years.
