More photos

Mere thinks the baby is pretty neat-she watches him when he's crying or eating, but like any kid her age the attention span isn't too long :) You can see he's pretty chubby, he was a bit swollen and bruised because he came so fast, but his head's looking more normal everyday :) He has Saki's nose and looks lots different from Mere, but we will see as time goes by, they change fast! His eyes look dark blue or brown at times and he's lots paler than Mere was and his face is longer and his hair is short, and so it's hard to tell if it's straight or curly. . . He doesn't have the long lashes, either, but I think he's getting cuter by the day...

Sorry some are sideways...I'll try to fix that tomorrow...we'll see. He is healthy and 9 lbs 5 oz and 22 1/2 " long :) We are all happily home and enjoying each other's company!

Any day now. . .

So000, I wanted to redeem myself after seeing our Fourth of July family photo and had Saki take these. Then I realized I am huge. You really do stretch out more with the second kid. I weigh about the same as I did with Mere but this boy is much lower and I am much bigger or the weight is distributed differently. Maybe I need actual pregnancy clothes.
I am so thankful for the resurrection and I am grateful for the ability and blessing of bringing children into this world despite the side effects :) And I'm glad for a husband who always finds me beautiful even when I don't!

Family Business :)

In June my brother Robert and his wife Camille had baby blessings for Ruby and Lydia and Daniel Hoffman got married! We were sad to be unable to attend both of these events as it is was too close to my due date to travel. But here's some photos!

This week has been more relaxing than the past couple of weeks. We've gone swimming at the pool here in our new apt complex and we've got some decorations up. Mere has been teething and so a bit cranky, but is having fun walking around the house and outside in some of the pairs of shoes she's gotten from friends of ours. We've also had many kind people give us clothes for Mere and the little boy!

A good snack:

2 C sugar free peanut butter
2 C rolled oats
1/2 C or more raisins
1/4 C honey

mix, roll into balls and enjoy!

I have a hard time picking toys for Mere-it's hard to know what she will like or what she's old enough for, but we got a Mr. Potato head this week and she has really enjoyed putting all the body parts on him and carrying him around-she calls him "apple." I remember playing with this with my older brother! Mere has also enjoyed playing with her toy kitchen and pretending to eat and drink and feed us and her bear.
