Today Saki and I got to attend church in the Fijian branch that has just been organized out here in the bay! Saki's parents attend with about 50 other Fijian's. It is one of 2 Fijian branches outside of Fiji! It was very fun for me to sing and listen to lessons in Fijian, reminded me of attending church in France. . . It is nice how the church is organized the same everywhere so you still know what is being taught and the order of everything. I particularly enjoyed the sacrament meeting and relief society meetings. There was a very sweet spirit present.
The kids are getting over their colds and Glenn seems to be ready to sleep better tonight, as he has been waking up the last couple of evenings. He is really getting tall. Mere is a handful, but luckily she is very good at adjusting to change and enjoys staying with new people despite being cooped up a bit. Just wish she would keep her naps and bedtime when we travel, such and energetic little girl. Kristin, she's reminding me of you:)

San Anselmo :)
Photos from pacific coast highway.
We are now in San Anselmo visiting Saki's parents :) We did the drive in 2 days this time and that was much more relaxing, though the kids being sick and did not make for an enjoyable night at the hotel. We also drove the 101 and 1 instead of driving inland and the coast was gorgeous. We stopped at a beach just above Ventura and met a kind family who shared food with us and talked a bit.
There are many fun looking lodges and state parks along the coast that I never knew existed, maybe someday I'll get to stay in them! We saw some seals sleeping on one of the beaches and stopped at Fisherman's wharf in Monteray to eat, which was actually pretty small and mostly restaurants, but there were some museums we didn't have time to see. After driving up the coast I now see the lure of traveling the country by roadtrip or RV for months on end.

Fast Sunday
Today was fast Sunday, for those of you who don't know the first day of every month in our church we fast 2 meals and give the money we would have used (or more) to the church for the needy. Having been pregnant and nursing I haven't fasted for some time, and was grateful to be able to participate today. It really is a strength to be able to fast with your spouse for something you are both discussing and praying about. I also enjoyed the testimonies shared today (on fast Sunday anyone who wishes can go up to the pulpit and bear testimony to the church). The Lord is mindful of each of us as individuals and I am so grateful for the tender mercies He provides.

I also can't resist stating how much I love and appreciate my husband. He is mindful of my weaknesses and loves me how I am. I am so grateful to have someone who often knows me better than I know myself and who has strengths in all the areas I am weak. I cannot express in words how much I love him and how much his presence gives me hope and comfort! He is truly my soul mate and we are striving to live worthy of being together for eternity.
On that note I am SOOO excited for the upcoming marriage of my brother Thomas to my soon to be sister Lisa! After having been married and I glow in anticipation of their shared joys with each other! Marriage and family is a central part of Heavenly Father's plan for us! Here is their blog http://www.lotsaoxen.com/

We are online :)
We have been very busy and then our router died, so I am very sorry for the lack of posts over the last month, but we are doing very well! Mere has been going to Indio (about an hour from here) every other week for allergy shots and Glenn is crawling as of last week! Next Sunday he will be 8 months old! He has 2 teeth and 4 more halfway in. This past Friday we went to the temple in San Diego, and Mere got very excited about the "pretty temple." Afterwards we went to the beach and Mere and I played in the water and picked up shells. She wanted to run right into the ocean! And heres some much overdue photos from the last month, though I can't say when more are coming because it seems our camera is now broken.
The photos below show Mere with a friend in the ward, Mere stamping, feeding Glenn and with her hair all curled (those foam curlers you sleep in). I just cut her hair but don't have a photo of it yet. She love playing with the train tracks and I'm pretty proud of the fact she can put them together by herself :) You also see Glenn wearing the Swedish onsie Mere got-and her in it too. He was 7 months at the time and she was around 9 months old.

Busy, Busy
Potty training is going great, Glenn is teething, so fussier than his usual self, and Mere is always a ball of energy, but we've been doing a lot more walking, so that's tiring her out some before she sleeps. Mere can count to 10 and know some numbers after, so it's fun to hear her count. She is into ice cream and cupcakes and asked to read the "cupcake book" from the library which has cupcakes on a couple pages and she thinks it's great. She is also learning colors, and sometimes gets them right :) We had the 2 year old check up and 6 month old check up Glenn is 20lbs 11 oz ___ tall, Mere is ____ and 33 1/2 inches tall. (I have to double check that).

Saki is doing wonderful work with the scouts and young men at church and I'm really enjoying doing sharing time in primary with the young children. I am so grateful for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and the guidance the gospel brings to my life. We live in a world of disintegrating moral values and people floundering to find a purpose in life and I am so grateful for the knowledge of a Heavenly Father who loves all of His children and that He sent His Son to atone for us. I am enjoying reading the church magazines the Friend to Mere and the Ensign. I am so grateful for the humanitarian aid the church sends to other countries and the way it blesses each member in the world wherever they live. I am so grateful for my husband and the priesthood he worthily holds and parents who raised me up to the Lord and brothers who have set wonderful examples for me. Well, I really need to get going, just wanted to do a quick post, and note this wonderful site: https://beta.lds.org/youth?locale=eng
