Play, play, play

Mere is really growing up! She still prefers walking on her knees, though she can walk on her feet when she wants to. She babbles almost nonstop and laughs quite a bit (though she has her whiny days too). Her words are now baby, bird (which sounds more like bebe), woof woof (dog), hi, bye (she enjoys waving to people in the store), dada, kitty, and ball is her big one-anything round like her cousin Brenna. She is getting a lot more strong willed, she can cry so loud you really think she's hurt and somethings wrong when she's really just not getting her way, and she throws little tantrums by stretching out on the floor and kicking and kind of crying, but those only last about 30 seconds so I just ignore them, it's actually kind of funny, but it won't be if it gets worse. Overall she is quite a happy cheerful little girl, and I am SOOO grateful for that-I really would be overjoyed if all my kids were so easygoing, loving, energetic (she's all over and all into everything, so church is hard), and happy!

Mere enjoys talking on the phone whether or not anyone's on the line. . .


Mere likes to put her head by the cats paws and the cat plays with her hair, she also likes to sit on the cat, so luckily he's pretty nice (though he does nip when he's playful).

My new lime green curtain, or rather fabric. Decorating is my creative outlet, so I like to change things up once in a while. The morning sun makes the room kind of green and the photo really doesn't show the colors well, it's quite pretty-I'm trying to branch out from all the dark colors I like.
Moist Cherry cake :) I made for Saki's birthday. This is the second time I've made it-the first was for a nice elderly lady at Utah State Hospital.


Saki's birthday breakfast and new rice cooker! I got a bigger one in the hopes it will serve our family as it grows, as our old one was ruined in the fire in Vernal. Rice cookers really are better than the stove-so thanks to whoever got us our first one!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Tomorrow is my beloved husband's birthday! I could never express in words the void he fills in my life. I look forward to spending not only this life but an eternity with him and am so glad we were sealed in the temple so all of our children may share in the eternal blessings given to the House of Israel (see Genesis 12:1-8; 15; 17: 1-9; Abraham 1:1-4; 2:1-11).

Samuel's Mission Call!

My youngest brother Samuel received his mission call Wednesday and waited all the way until this Sunday evening so all the family could get online as he opened it. He is called to serve in the Tempe, AZ mission-Spanish speaking and goes into the Missionary Training Center on July 8th! We are all so very excited for him and know he will be an excellent missionary as he demonstrates daily his love and devotion to the Lord and is an example to all of us!

My parents had no idea he had received his mission call so soon-though Samuel did let his siblings know he was going to surprise them this evening (he is currently attending Brigham Young University, Provo and knew if he called Wednesday they may have guessed something was happening.

Finally we got a vacation!

Saki and I went to Florida the last week and a half to spend Easter with my family. I haven't been back to FL for years (I grew up in WA but spent 10th grade in FL and my family moved back to FL in 2000 when I graduated from high school.

We spent a lot of time with my best friend Ashley and her family-I hadn't seen her since her wedding!





They took us to the beach and the shooting range-lots of fun!!!

Most of Ashley's family-the two oldest boys helped my parents and Saki move lots of books from their old house to the new house-as of last week my parents are officially moved into their new ward.


We had to stop at a Waffle House when we were down south-they are soo cheap $1-$5 a meal or item! It was kind of an interesting place.
